چکیده

Abstract This article unpacks time as a cultural consumption resource and introduces the concept of consumer timework. Consumer timework refers to marketplace stakeholders’ negotiation competing interpretations how past future relate using wide range objects activities. Building on theory temporalization, we argue that social tensions, conflicts, breaks drive apart in multiple incompatible ways individuals societies must contend. We theorize four fundamental dynamics which market stakeholders engage: integrative, disintegrative, subjugatory, emancipatory. Integrative disintegrative respectively harmonize rupture temporal orientations (past, present, future) create shared communities or counter-communities through consumption. Subjugatory emancipatory enforce disrupt hierarchies power delineate these examples from extant research. conclude by establishing research agenda
